PAYMENTS
You will be invoiced upon making a reservation and full payment is due 60 days
prior to the first land day of the trip. Payment is accepted as follows: 1) U.S. Dollar
check posted to our U.S. office 2) by Telegraphic Transfer (Wire) to our account at the
Cambridge Trust Company, Cambridge Mass.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to Thomson Adventures. At the
time we receive the cancellation, all moneys will be refunded less the following
cancellation charges, deducted from the total package price.
61 days before departure $200
60-46 days before departure 50% of the package price
45-30 days before departure 65% of the package price
29 days or less before departure 100 % of the package price
Transfer of departure date to another date is $50 per person, or $100 if 60-45 days
prior to departure. After that, cancellation fees will apply. You may also be responsible
for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your land
arrangements, due to your cancellation of your original date bookings.
Please note that no partial refunds will be given for unused meals, hotel rooms,
airport transfers etc., for any reason whatsoever. Thomson Adventures reserves the right
to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares,
currency fluctuations, park fees increases or fuel surcharges. Thomson Adventures reserves
the right to alter the tour without notice. Thomson Adventures is not responsible for
expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip (e.g. non-refundable advance
purchase air tickets, visa fees, equipment, etc.) or for any necessary additional travel
arrangements should your guests embark from home before the group departure date.
Accommodations are subject to change We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.
LIABILITY
Thomson Adventures and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all
matters relating to hotel and lodge accommodation, tours, transport etc. and shall not be
liable for injury, delays, loss or damage in any manner. The company's liability to
passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the laws of the country in which the
tour takes place and no other country. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the
courts of the country in which the action arises. The company reserves the right to employ
subcontractors, for all or part of the services. In the event of such right the terms of
this clause apply. Thomson Adventures reserves the right to decline to accept or retain
any person as a member of any tour.
By utilizing the services of Thomson Adventures, you agree that neither Thomson
Adventures nor any representative shall be liable for any accident, injury, property
damage or personal loss to you or to those traveling with you in connection with any
accommodations, transportation or other travel services, or resulting directly or
indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond Thomson Adventures control, including
but not limited to , acts of terrorism, war, strikes, theft, delay or cancellation of or
changes in itinerary or schedules.
Medical services or facilities may not be readily available or accessible during all or
part of the trip. You are responsible for selecting a trip appropriate to your abilities
and interests. You are responsible for insuring that you are in sufficient good health to
undertake the trip, that you are prepared for the trip by studying the itinerary and
pre-departure materials sent by Thomson Adventures. We recommend that you purchase
emergency medical evacuation insurance.
