Tour cost
Please refer to the tour
description for details. The tour cost does not include travel insurance, U.S.
departure tax of $65 per person, China group visa of $35 per person, airport taxes for
internal flights in China, tips for guides and drivers, food and drinks not included in
the group menu, room service, and personal expenses. A land-only package does not include
transfers between airports and hotels at the first and last points. This policy also
applies to those who are not with the group on arrival or departure for any reason. For
early arrival or extension, hotel accommodations and other services are based on
availability and the rates available a the time of booking.ChinaPlus Frequent Traveler Credit
ChinaPlus offers five percent of the price of this
tour as a deduction from the price of your next tour with ChinaPlus.
Passport and visa
A passport valid at least six months beyond
the tour departure date is required. ChinaPlus will apply for a group visa for the tour.
As noted above, a photocopy of the identification pages of your passport is due
seventy-five days before departure. The group visa and handling fee of $35 per person will
be added to your invoice. This fee applies to the group visa only. Those who will enter
and/or exit China at a different time from the group must secure their own visa. ChinaPlus
will provide necessary forms and information to assist you in applying for the visa.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that tour members
purchase travel insurance, which can include coverage for trip cancellation, trip
interruption, trip delay, health problems and baggage loss. ChinaPlus will mail you a
Travelex insurance brochure upon your request on the reservation form. Of course you can
purchase travel insurance from any company you wish.
Note: in order to cover pre-existing conditions, most travel insurance
companies require you to buy the insurance within 7-14 days of placing your initial
deposit on the cost of the tour.
Cancellation and refund
Cancellation by the member for any reason must be in
writing. The tour cost, less the following per-person charge, will be refunded:
76 days before departure . . . . . . . $150
75-60 days before departure . . . . .$500
59-36 days before departure . . . . .$750
35-8 days before departure . . . . . .$1,500
Within 7 days before departure . . . No refund
The cancellation policy is based on the tour cost associated with the
land portion (includes cruise) of the tour. Any refund for cancellation of air will be
handled separately. Any penalty charged by air carriers or ticketing agents for airline
ticket cancellation will be deducted from the refund. There is no refund for no-shows or
for any unused portion of the trip.
The tour price is based on a minimum of ten participants. ChinaPlus
reserves the right to add a reasonable amount of charges to the tour price if the group
falls below that number. If a tour is cancaled by ChinaPlus, ChinaPlus will notify
you as early as possible and help you rearrange your trip, or refund full payment.
Responsibility
ChinaPlus, Inc. (CPI) is responsible for making the tour herein offered. CPI acts only as an agent for the tour
participants in all matters connected with all the travel service suppliers for the trip.
Tour participants agree that CPI will not be liable for any damage, injury, loss, or delay
resulting from any cause to the tour participants or their belongings during the tour.
However, CPI will do its best to prevent any of these from happening and will provide full
assistance if it should happen. CPI reserves the right to increase the tour price in the
event of considerable cost increase in airfares, currency fluctuations, etc.
